After doing these things I powered the Flex back on while the Flex was showing the initial Welcome screen take a battery out of the remote and put it right back press Voice. I can play prerecorded stuff just fine but not live TV. It could also be that you have not paired the remote well.

I can only see Channels 1-44 3001 to 3xxx. When your Xfinity Flex setup is not working the culprit could be your internet connection. Certainly does not seem like we need a box though.
